Oxygen Biotherapeutics Develops Gel Version Of Oxycyte(R) For Treating Surface Wounds
The innovation is based on technologies in-licensed earlier this year from Virginia Commonwealth University. So we're hopeful that the clinical review treat would be as a medical twist, which can be shorter and faster than review as a drug," said company chairperson and CEO Chris J. Stern, DBA. "If the safety/efficacy cps is indeed shorter, as I trust it can be, and so it suggests that substantial partnering models could be launched shortly after refuge and efficacy are proved. Sales of ointments, dressings, bandages, etc are counted in the high billions of dollars each twelvemonth. I think that every one of these products could prove to be a candidate to post a anatomy of Oxycyte.
"While I'm excited about this new potential habit for Oxycyte, I know that the big question on our shareholders' minds right now is the status of our Phase IIb protocol for Oxycyte in TBI. We're non going to get into the details of our communications with the FDA. That would not be in the best interests of the company or the process. I'll just say that positive communications are continuing and that when there is news, we'll declare it," said Stern.

Metallica-themed 'Guitar Hero' in the works
NEW YORK -- With "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" weeks away from release, the much-rumored Metallica version of the game appears imminent. An analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities found reference to the upcoming, but still-unannounced game in a recent SEC filing by Activision, publisher of the Guitar Hero franchise.
There's been no official announcement from Activision, and the exact timing of its release remains unknown. However, speculation suggests that it will come out sometime after the release of "Guitar Hero: On Tour," otherwise known as Guitar Hero 4 -- which like rival "Rock Band" will feature a full compliment of instruments beyond the guitar. The title is expected this holiday season.
"Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is slated for release June 29. Unlike other "Guitar Hero" games, which feature scores of tracks from multiple artists, the Aerosmith expansion will include primarily that band's catalog, along with a smattering of songs from bands that Aerosmith wanted included.
The game "storyline" features Aerosmith's rise from smaller venues in Boston to large stadiums, with motion-capture animated versions of all band members.
Bee Gees - Gibb To Honour War Heroes In First British Solo Gig
BEE GEES star ROBIN GIBB is to play his first solo concert in the U.K. at a charity fundraiser next month (Jul08) ? in honour of the ?forgotten heroes? of World War II.
The pop star has signed up to headline a memorial gig to pay tribute to the 55,000 soldiers from the British Royal Air Force Bomber Command who died fighting in the conflict.
The event, which is being held by The Heritage Foundation to raise cash for an official memorial in London, is due to take place in the capital?s Royal Windsor racecourse on 16 July (08).
Gibb admits the cause has been close to his heart for some time, and he is ?disgraced? by the way war veterans have been treated after serving their country.
He says, ?This is a subject I have felt quite passionate about for a long time.
?I have always regarded the men who flew the bombers as heroic characters ? and it seems just incredible that, 63 years after the war, there is still no official memorial to commemorate their achievement.
?The men that died and those who still survive brought peace and democracy to the whole of Europe. Millions of us owe a great deal to them and we should all be proud of what they achieved.
?The memorial, which will be a major site in London, will not be a celebration of war, it will be a sincere gesture of respect for the sacrifice these men made for us. Our official neglect of these men has been disgraceful.?
He adds, ?It will be a special day for me in many ways. It will be the first time I?ve ever performed solo in Britain.?
