Part of the original thrash metal scene in the mid to later '80s, San Francisco's Sadus primitively consisted of members Darren Travis on vocals and guitar, Rob Moore on guitar, Steve DiGiorgio on basso, and Jon Allen on drums. The group began when all four members were attendance high school in 1984, and due to the circulation of such demos as 1986's DTP and 1987's Certain Death, the group reinforced a local following. By the terminal of 1988, the band issued a debut full-length on their own, highborn Illusions, produced by Metal Church guitar player John Marshall. This lED to a deal with the metal label Roadrunner Records, which issued Swallowed in Black in 1990; the group supported it a spell opening for Obituary and Sepultura. The following year, DiGiorgio lententide his bass playing talents to the recording of Death's Human record album, which helped introduce Sadus to a wider audience as they toured that same year with Morbid Angel in Europe for the first-class honours degree time.

Further releases followed -- Chemical Exposure and A Vision of Misery -- before the mathematical group leftfield Roadrunner. Shortly thenceforth, DiGiorgio rejoined Death to record their Individual Thought Patterns album, and this time, decided to tour with the banding as Sadus took a give out. In 1997, Sadus reunited to disc a new album for young label Mascot Records, just by this time, Moore had leftfield the grouping. Undeterred, the group carried on as a triad, releasing Elements of Anger (produced by illustrious thrash/death metal producer Scott Burns) in 1998. DiGiorgio has become one of the genre's almost sought-after bassists, as he's played with such other bands as Dragonlord, Autopsy, and Iced Earth. By 2000, it appeared as though Sadus was put on adjudge however over again, as the rhythm method section of DiGiorgio and Allen recognized an invitation to conjoin Testament.

Metallica-themed 'Guitar Hero' in the works

Activision has yet to make official announcement

NEW YORK -- With "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" weeks away from release, the much-rumored Metallica version of the game appears imminent. An analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities found reference to the upcoming, but still-unannounced game in a recent SEC filing by Activision, publisher of the Guitar Hero franchise.
There's been no official announcement from Activision, and the exact timing of its release remains unknown. However, speculation suggests that it will come out sometime after the release of "Guitar Hero: On Tour," otherwise known as Guitar Hero 4 -- which like rival "Rock Band" will feature a full compliment of instruments beyond the guitar. The title is expected this holiday season.
"Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is slated for release June 29. Unlike other "Guitar Hero" games, which feature scores of tracks from multiple artists, the Aerosmith expansion will include primarily that band's catalog, along with a smattering of songs from bands that Aerosmith wanted included.
The game "storyline" features Aerosmith's rise from smaller venues in Boston to large stadiums, with motion-capture animated versions of all band members.

Bee Gees - Gibb To Honour War Heroes In First British Solo Gig

BEE GEES star ROBIN GIBB is to play his first solo concert in the U.K. at a charity fundraiser next month (Jul08) ? in honour of the ?forgotten heroes? of World War II.

The pop star has signed up to headline a memorial gig to pay tribute to the 55,000 soldiers from the British Royal Air Force Bomber Command who died fighting in the conflict.

The event, which is being held by The Heritage Foundation to raise cash for an official memorial in London, is due to take place in the capital?s Royal Windsor racecourse on 16 July (08).

Gibb admits the cause has been close to his heart for some time, and he is ?disgraced? by the way war veterans have been treated after serving their country.

He says, ?This is a subject I have felt quite passionate about for a long time.

?I have always regarded the men who flew the bombers as heroic characters ? and it seems just incredible that, 63 years after the war, there is still no official memorial to commemorate their achievement.

?The men that died and those who still survive brought peace and democracy to the whole of Europe. Millions of us owe a great deal to them and we should all be proud of what they achieved.

?The memorial, which will be a major site in London, will not be a celebration of war, it will be a sincere gesture of respect for the sacrifice these men made for us. Our official neglect of these men has been disgraceful.?

He adds, ?It will be a special day for me in many ways. It will be the first time I?ve ever performed solo in Britain.?

American Idol - Idol Helps Fox Win Final Week Of Season

After much hand wringing over the erosion of ratings for American Idol during
its latest season, the two final episodes last week -- Tuesday's performance show
and Wednesday's results show -- wound up capturing bigger ratings than the comparable
finale a year ago. Tuesday's telecast drew 27 million viewers; Wednesday's, 32 million.
Together they gave Fox an easy win for the final official week of the 2007-08 season
with an average 7.3 rating and a 13 share. CBS and ABC tied for second with a 5.6/10, wh
ile NBC continued to trail with a 3.5/6. Meanwhile, Fox reality shows that produced
solid ratings for the network when they followed American Idol continued to
lead their rivals on their own this week, the first week of the summer season --
although their numbers were down from the previous week. Hell's Kitchen and Moment
of Truth likely benefited from the fact that the competition was a slew of network
reruns. On Wednesday, the two-hour return of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance l
ed the field, with the first hour recording a 5.3/9 and the second, a 6.3/10.

The top ten shows of the week according to Nielsen Research:
1. American
Idol (Wednesday), Fox, 17.7/28; 2. American Idol (Tuesday), Fox, 15.1/24;
3. Dancing With the Stars (Tuesday), ABC, 12.9/20; 4. Dancing With The
Stars (Monday), ABC, 12.4/20; 5. Grey's Anatomy, ABC, 11.8/19; 6. CSI: Miami,
